Unforgetable Night at Shillong..

We went to north-east India in October,2002 for the first time.Visited Guahati, Shilong, Cherapunji, Tejpur,Rangapara and Bhalukpong. We also went to holy Kamakshya Temple at Guahati but couldn't be able to devote our prayer due to shortage of time.So me, my mother, one of my aunty and her six year old daughter decided to go there again.It was mainly for giving puja at the temple but we finalized the tour in a way so that we could also spend some time at Shillong as we had not visited all places the previous time. We started on 6th June in 2003.Reached Guahati the next day and got into the same Lodge of Govt of Assam we had previously.Only for that day we took only one room though it was hard to make them agree.Next morning we headed for Kamakshya temple and stood in the big queue. My Joining Day in Job

I completed my BTech in July 2005 and got job in a reputed MNC in January in 2006.But my experience of first day and the day before will never be forgotten. I got the news that I've been recruited on the evening of 11th of January while a short trip to Bakkhali had already been planned by us on next day morning. We as usual started for the trip and reached Bakkhali. We were eight persons including my parents, elder brother and his wife and one of my uncle's family. We got in WBTDC's hotel and took the lunch there.Then we went to the beach side and spent an wonderful evening.While returning back to the hotel suddenly we got a call in cell that my office wants me to join the next day.At that very moment I was totally perplexed what to do because it is a very remote area where there is no regular traffic available at night to reach Kolkata. Tour to Kedar-Badri

It was 21st May, 1991. Rajib Gandhi died in a bomb blast. Chaos started everywhere throughout the India.We had tickets booked on Doon Express on 24th.Advise came from everyone to cancel the tickets immediately.But all of us decided that we must go except my father.It was a hard time to make him agree.At last we succeeded. On 24th we started for Howrah station after watching Rajib Gandhi's funeral on TV.Getting on the train we amazed to see that many of the seats are blank due to this incident.We were ten including my uncles,aunties and brothers and probably we were the biggest family in the entire train. We reached Hardwar on 26th.After couple of days we went to Rishikesh.From there we started for Gourikund.In between the road to Gaurikund we suddenly decided to spend a night at Shonproyag where Lord Shiva is said to marry Goddess Parvati.
